2010 Audi S4 Sedan quattro

The Audi S4 is a high performance sport version of the Audi A4 range of cars. The S4 name was originally used for the sport version of the Audi 100.

They are, or have been available as an ''Avant'', Audi's name for an estate car or station wagon, a saloon or sedan, and a Cabriolet (convertable) version.

Like all Audi S cars, the S4 is only available with Audi's quattro four-wheel drive (4WD) system, with the S4 utilising the Torsen-based permanent ''full-time'' 4WD. The S4 has a larger more powerful engine, and larger uprated brakes, which are not shared with the remainder of the A4 range.

The latest generation of the Audi S4 quattro (Typ 8K) will be based on the latest B8 Audi A4,[8] built on the Volkswagen B8 (MLB/MLP) platform.

It is rumoured that the B8 S4 will revert back to a smaller displacement forced induction format, utilizing a 3.0L supercharged V6 engine, producing an estimated 360 PS (265 kW/355 bhp), as revealed by Auto Zeitung Magazine on 22 June 2008.
